Critical review of Hiphopinternational.com

So for those of you that have nothing better to do than read my blog, you will know that I have huge passion for dance. I truly believe that dance is a universal language that connects people of all races, religions, languages and cultures. On the other hand you could just visit hiphopinternational.com a website that ‘unites the world of hip hop’. Hip Hop international (HHI) is a website that I would visit almost daily to check out any news in the world of dance..The purpose of HHI is to unite dancers all across the globe and to give them a platform to watch, comment and enjoy some of the astonishing talent the world has to offer. I’m now going to transform into a non-biased critique rather than a huge fan of this website, by stepping back and looking at the website with a broader eye

This website has a cordial, non-complicated layout. The home page is welcoming, streaming news and YouTube videos. This sites visuals such as the colours and graphics work well together The use of red as the main colour is striking but also gives a sense of warmth to the visitor. Weather a fan of hip hop or not you cannot deny the accessible navigation of this website. The nav-bar positioned across the top of each page consists of various options a viewer may be looking for. It gives us the expected ‘home’, ‘about’, ‘contact’ and ‘news’ options, but for the die-hard hip hop fan you can further your search to ‘world affiliates’ in which you can select your country and view videos and news from there. Not only can you select your country but any country within the hip hop international affiliates .I find this aspect a huge benefit to the site.

Streaming a unique feature to any website allows us to view live any events taking place across the globe. HHI proudly provides its followers streaming accessibly  A weakness I found with this is the speed of streaming. Freezing, stopping and sluggishness are common features to the many events that are streamed.

The typography used across this site is very notable. HHI uses a simple yet effective font. It’s a thin, credible and easy readable font. It is the only font used across the whole website which is a non-complicated feature and ensures the comfort and to the viewer.

Overall I found a nice balance to this website. The layout, visuals and content work well together to ensure a non-complicated visit to the site. I would recommend this website to anyone. From hip hop lovers to website designers I find it’s a great template for all.Image
